Yes. New batteries power the alarm, but they don’t show whether the sensor still detects smoke or whether the alarm has expired.
That inspection covers a minimum. It doesn’t check bedroom alarms, interconnection or alarm age.
Yes. Hardwired alarms expire after 10 years, just like battery alarms.
